Egg Chowmein

I just wanted to blog down this recipe for all you people out there. I've spent most of my time in Jamshedpur and people out there love to eat chowmein. Its just a different version of noodles but tasty in it's own way. If you are too health conscious you can use wheat noodles instead of the regular one. The days you dont feel like cooking main course and side dish nor wanna spend too much time in the kitchen you should try this dish.

Ingredients:

shredded cabbage
thinly sliced beans, carrots, bell peppers and onions
1 packet noodles
soya sauce
chilli sauce
tomato sauce
green chillies dipped in vinegar (optional) - If you like it spicy then you can use this
2 or 3 eggs
salt
pepper
ajinamotto
oil

Method:

Boil the noodles by adding little salt and oil. Once the noodles are cooked, drain the water and rinse in cold water and add one teaspoon oil. This will help the noodles not to stick to one another. Heat one small pan and add little oil. Beat the eggs and add some salt and pepper.

Pour it into the pan and prepare the scramble eggs. Keep it aside.

Take a big pan and heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add the onions followed by carrot, beans and bell peppers.Cook on high flame and then add cabbage.

Add salt, pepper, ajinamotto. Add all the sauces and stir. Add the boiled noodles and stir properly.

Finally add the scrambled eggs to it and serve hot.

  1. Nice dee. I sometimes make just stir fried veggies. Most of the times we make schezwan noodles. I'll post the recipe soon when I make it next.
